About Me

I'm a stay at home mom to 2 boys who are 22 months apart (currently ages 3 and 5) always competing for my attention and keeping me on my toes! This blog is intended to be ramblings about learning through our everyday lives while trying to have a lot of fun along the way!

I share about our 'field trips' to Rochester, NY area attractions because my boys find the places we go to be fun and interesting, not because I'm paid or compensated in any way by the places we visit. Here are a few posts about my boys' favorite places: Rochester Museum and Science Center, The Strong National Museum of Play, Seneca Park Zoo, and Abraham Lincoln Park.
Although I try hard not to necessarily 'homeschool', throughout the week I do try to do some fun learning with the boys in a little bit more structured way than just playing all the time...many times I use ideas for learning found on other blogs, but I always try to give credit so you can go right to the source for additional ideas. Of course, as their lives change with entering public school, etc, my post focus may change as well!

Mostly our focus on this blog has been learning the alphabet and exploring all things science! (Cutie Pie's favorite science experiment is a citrus taste experiment. Sweet Pea's favorite is Experiment #1, a sound experiment we conducted while learning the letter J.) All of this is in addition to Cutie Pie's learning and ideas he brings home from kindergarten which gives me lots of ideas! Sometimes it's just hard to put it all in writing to share, but I try!

I hope you enjoy my journal style blog, but even more, I hope that you are encouraged to try some of the ideas I share, to share your own ideas, and just plain enjoy your own kids!
